Colocation in Stockholm

Your hardware in Swedish data centres

With colocation, you place your servers in our security-classified data centres in Stockholm. You own the equipment, and we take care of power, cooling, security and connectivity, with Swedish ownership throughout the chain.

What is colocation?

Colocation means placing your own servers and network equipment in a professional data centre instead of your own server room. You own and control the hardware fully, while the data centre delivers what is hard to build yourself: redundant power, cooling, physical protection and fast connectivity.

The difference from cloud services is control. In the cloud, you rent capacity on someone else's servers, and with the large US suppliers, foreign legislation can reach your data whichever region you have chosen. With colocation, you know exactly which machine does the work, where it is, who has access to it and which law applies.

For many organisations, colocation is the natural middle ground: your own infrastructure without a machine room of your own, at lower cost and with higher security than running it on your own premises. In a rack with us, your equipment gets the same operating environment as our own cloud and server services.

Why colocation in Stockholm?

Three reasons to keep your equipment in the capital rather than on the Continent.

Close to your business

Your servers are minutes away, not in Frankfurt or Amsterdam. You can visit your rack whenever you need to, and our staff are on site in Stockholm for service and support.

Low latency, high capacity

With latency from 0.1 ms and connectivity from 1 to 100 Gbit/s, your systems get the same response times as in your own server room, built on our resilient mesh network in Stockholm.

Swedish jurisdiction

Equipment located in Sweden is subject to Swedish law. That simplifies your regulatory compliance and makes the answer to the question "where is your data?" short and reassuring.

Swedish data sovereignty in practice

Data sovereignty is about knowing where your data is, which law it is subject to and who can demand access to it. When your servers are in a Swedish data centre under Swedish ownership, the answers are simple: in Sweden, under Swedish and European law, and no one else.

This matters more and more as regulations tighten. NIS2 sets requirements for risk management and control over the supply chain, and GDPR requires you to be able to account for where personal data is processed. Colocation in Sweden gives you a straightforward, auditable foundation to stand on.

We are certified to ISO 27001 for information security and ISO 14001 for environmental management. Find out more about our certifications and security work.

Connectivity built by a fibre operator

Colocation is only as good as its connectivity. As a fibre operator, we own the connections all the way, with full fibre diversity into the data centre and capacity that grows with you.

What does colocation cost?

The price depends on how much space, power and capacity you need. A half rack with 19 rack units starts at SEK 3,495 per month, and from there you scale up to a full rack or a private cage with custom power, cooling and SLA.

Frequently asked questions about colocation

The price depends on space, power and connectivity. A half rack is the smallest package, and from there you grow to a full rack or a private cage. Current prices are on Datacenter Direkt.

In the cloud, you rent capacity on the supplier's servers. With colocation, you own the hardware and rent the operating environment: power, cooling, security and connectivity. You get full control over equipment, data and costs.

A shorter path to your data, both physically and legally. You get latency from 0.1 ms, can visit your rack the same day, and your equipment is subject to Swedish law instead of depending on foreign agreements and jurisdictions. With stricter requirements from NIS2, proximity and control are also an easier route to compliance.

It depends on the scope, from a few servers to entire environments. Contact us and we'll draw up a timeline and migration path for your equipment.

Yes, you have access to your servers 24/7, all year round, with registered entry to security-classified premises.

Our data centres have a redundant power supply with UPS and backup power running on renewable HVO100. Your equipment keeps running even when the grid doesn't.

Yes, with remote hands our technicians carry out work on your equipment on site, such as restarts, cabling or component replacements, charged by the hour.

No. Many combine colocation for business-critical systems with cloud and virtual servers for the rest. With redundancy between our four data centres and private connectivity to your offices, you choose freely where each workload lives.
